Evaporation Materials

What's Evaporation Materials?

Evaporation materials are materials used to form thin films by evaporation methods, and include metals and oxides. We offer high-purity evaporation materials produced through melting and sintering technologies, along with a variety of hearth liners and boats for use in evaporation.

Shapes and Standard Sizes

Material Common Metals Al, Bi, Co, Cu, Fe, Hf, In, Li, Mo, Nb, Ni, Si, Sn, Ta, Ti, V, W, Zn, Zr
Precious Metals Ag, Au, Ir, Pd, Pt, Rh, Ru
Alloys Ni-Cr, Ni-Fe, Cu-Zn, Cu-Ni, etc.
Shape Standard Size
Wire Cut Diameter φ1, φ2, φ3, φ5
Thickness t3, t5, t10

We also offer custom shape processing, allowing you to select shapes suited to your hearth liner.

For alloys and oxides, composition control is also available. We can accommodate small quantities, so please contact us first.

Hearth Liners

Material Al2O3, BN, C, Cu, Mo, Ta, W

C, BN, BN Composite

BN composite is a material formed by reacting BN and TiB2 as main raw materials and hot pressing, exhibiting excellent corrosion resistance to molten metals. It can be machined and exhibits conductivity comparable to graphite, allowing it to be processed into various shapes and heated by direct current or high-frequency induction. Wall thickness can be manufactured according to your requirements.

Boat

Material Mo, Ta, W

Alumina Coated Boat

Alumina coated boats are characterized by their ability to be used without direct contact between the sample and the heater body. Taking advantage of the fact that alumina is inert to most metals, the following benefits are achieved:

  1. Resistance value remains unchanged even when the sample is in a molten state.
  2. Better thermal conductivity compared to crucibles.
  3. No creeping of evaporated material to the electrode section due to wetting.
  4. When the evaporation material melts, it becomes granular and serves as a point source.
  5. Longer lifespan due to no contact with the heater.

Alumina coating is available for boats made of W or Mo regardless of shape, so please contact us.
